What to use it for
The main value is validation. A hole with a transposed easting and northing, or coordinates entered in the wrong system, will sit somewhere obviously wrong — in the next suburb, or in the sea. The site plan won't always make that obvious because it has no geographic context; a real basemap does.
Check this tab before issuing, particularly on investigations where coordinates came from more than one source.
