Status and state reference

Every status vocabulary in GeoCRM and how they differ.

GeoCRM uses several independent status vocabularies. They are not interchangeable.

Job status

Set when a job is created and updated as work proceeds. Includes Scheduled, in progress and completed states, and Cancelled.

Docket — two independent tracks

Workflow state — field and commercial progress:

Open → Signed → Awaiting invoice → Invoiced

Reporting state — whether the docket's data has been written up.

A docket can be signed but unreported, or reported but uninvoiced. See What a docket is.

Docket signature status

Unsigned / Signed, recorded separately for the field representative and the client representative.

Work request state

State Meaning
New Raised, not started
Field Testing Field component under way
Ready for Lab Samples received
Complete All testing finished

Test status

Status Meaning
pending Not yet tested
tested Result recorded
checked Verified by a second person
approved Approved for issue

Ground log — two vocabularies

Field status, per investigation location: Planned → In progress → Complete

Engineering state, per investigation: Draft → In review → Final

The first describes the drilling; the second describes the review of the log. A hole can be Complete in the field while its log is still a Draft.

Calculation status

Draft until approved. Calculations also carry a revision number.

Report status

Draft until approved.

Equipment status

Active and other states, plus a Needs attention flag driven by the certification expiry date.

Priority

Low, Medium, High — set on jobs.
