Brands and document branding

Brand identity, defaults, multiple brands and how they differ from templates.

Settings → Brand settings controls how generated documents look.

What a brand holds

A brand carries the identity applied to generated documents:

  • Name and logo
  • Address
  • Contact details
  • A colour palette

Each brand shows its colours as swatches in the settings list.

The default brand

One brand is marked DEFAULT and is applied to generated documents unless another is chosen.

Multiple brands

New Brand adds another. Multiple brands are for organisations trading under more than one name, or issuing under a parent and subsidiary identity.

If you have more than one, confirm the right brand is applied before exporting anything client-facing — see Exporting the report.

Incomplete brands

A brand showing contact details not configured will produce documents missing that information. Complete the brand before issuing from it.

Report templates

The neighbouring Report templates tab manages document structure rather than identity. Templates and brands are independent: a template sets what sections a report has, a brand sets how it looks. See Report templates.
