Creating a DCP test

Test setup, linking to a ground log and the governing standard.

A DCP test starts with New DCP test in the DCP register.

Test setup

This panel connects the field evidence to the rest of your records.

Linked Ground Log Optional — see below
Field technician Who performed the test
Test date and time When

Initial scale reading (mm) Starting reading, normally 0

Linking to a ground log

Linked Ground Log ties this test to an investigation location — useful when the DCP verifies conditions at a borehole. The constraint is that the ground log must belong to the same project and job. If the log you want isn't in the list, check the project and job selections first.

Linked tests show the log reference in the register's Ground log column; unlinked tests show Not linked.

Coordinates and apparatus

Coordinates and apparatus details expands to record the test position and the specifics of the cone and hammer used.

The standard

The header records the basis of the test: AS 1289.6.3.2, with the DCP-to-CBR engine v2.0 performing the interpretation.
