Adding images and figures

Upload, media picker, image creation and map annotation.

Each section can hold images. Four options sit under Add an image.

Option Use for
Upload image A file from your computer
Media picker Something already in the Media library
Create image Build a new image in the image editor
Map annotation Produce an annotated map figure

The two-step workflow

Create image and Map annotation open editors in a new tab. The builder notes: editors open in a new tab. Save there, then use Media picker to attach the result.

So the sequence is:

  1. Click Create image or Map annotation
  2. Build the figure in the new tab and save it
  3. Return to the builder
  4. Use Media picker to insert the saved figure

Forgetting step four is the usual mistake — the figure exists in the Media library but never makes it into the report.

Map annotation

Produces a map figure with annotations — site locations, borehole positions, section lines. This is how you get a site plan into a report as a proper figure.
