Exporting and reusing a DCP test

Creating a calculation from a test, duplicating, PDF export and revisions.

A finished DCP test feeds several places in GeoCRM.

The right panel carries two actions:

  • Export report PDF — renders the test as a PDF
  • Create DCP-to-CBR — pushes the test snapshot into a calculation

Create DCP-to-CBR

This creates a DCP to CBR calculation from the test, carrying the readings across as an immutable snapshot. The calculation then lives in the Calculations register with its own revision history, and can be linked to a project and job and pulled into a report.

This is what capture once, reuse the snapshot means in practice: the readings stay the evidence, and the calculation references them rather than duplicating them.

See The calculation library for what the calculator does with them.

Duplicate

Duplicate in the top bar copies the test setup into a new record. Useful when running a series of tests at the same site with the same apparatus — duplicate, then change the location and readings.

Export PDF

Export PDF in the top bar produces the field record as a document, suitable for issuing or appending to a report.

Revisions

The panel footer reports the revision and snapshot count, for example Revision 1 · 1 snapshots. Each saved state is preserved, so the evidence behind an issued design can always be recovered.

Status

Tests carry a status shown in the register and header. A test marked Final is complete field evidence; leave it in draft while readings are still being checked.
