The five specialised data tabs.
Five further tabs cover specialised records. They work like the others — add, edit, delete, with import and CSV export where relevant.
Rock core
Core runs and recovery for cored holes. Record run depths and recovery measurements. The Depth & data column in the ground log register counts core runs, so this is what populates that figure.
Photos
Photographs of the location — the hole, the core trays, the site conditions. These stay attached to the location and are available when building reports.
Construction
Installation details for monitoring wells: screen and casing intervals, backfill, seals and surface completion. Only relevant where Type is set to Monitoring well.
Methods
Drilling methods used, and the depth intervals over which each applied. Where a hole changes technique partway down — auger to washbore to coring — this is where that is recorded. Methods appear in the method column of the engineering log.
Defects
Discontinuities and defects logged against depth: joints, seams, shears and similar. Relevant mainly in rock.
Tab counters
Each tab shows a count in its label, so you can see at a glance what has been recorded on the current location without opening every tab.
